After months of "popping up" twice a week in the Lunch restaurant space on Scott's Addition, Shoryuken Ramen has finally found a permanent home.
The ramen shop will open in April in the former Dash Kitchen & Carry space at 900 W. Franklin St. The pop-up will continue at Lunch through the end of March.
“Dash’s location, size and interior fit Shoryuken perfectly without having to make major changes. It’s a rare opportunity for Shoryuken because we are eager to move forward with six-day service but do not have the time or funds to build from scratch,” said Will Richardson, chef owner of Shoryuken.
Get that? Six days of Shoryuken Ramen instead of two. Shoryuken will do dinner-only Monday-Saturday to start and possibly add lunch down the road.
Richmond restauranteurs Jessica and Josh Bufford, who also own Toast, Estilo and Hutch, closed Dash in December.
“We are very impressed with Will and Sarah’s hard work, the careful thought they’ve put into Shoryuken, and their passion for ramen,” Josh Bufford said. “We like them and we’re honored to help grow their pop-up effort into a full-time restaurant.”
